It's been a while... let's see ... my internet connection at home has crapped out mostly and I went out of town for the weekend, that coupled with a trip to the field yesterday and now here we are!
This past weekend was pretty awesome...
Friday: Got up at the crack of dawn and headed to New Braunfels and the Shlitterbahn. Out first stop was the New Braunfels Leather Company to buy a bullwhip! Cool stuff they have in there! I ended up with a 10 foot leather 8 Plait in Red hide. It's pretty nice, I have to get used to it still though. Anyway after that little stop we were on to Shlitterbahn. Let me say that they do not have a max capacity policy. Everything we did took at least an our to get on... some thing took longer. It was insane! Crowded Crowded Crowded! Yuk! After SB we drove on to San Antonio where I had Pricelined us a nice room on the Riverwalk. 10 trips around the block later I figured out where to park and we got into the room.
Saturday:
Got up early and ate breakfast and headed out for Fiesta Texas... again the lines were long to get in but much to my surprise the line were quite short in the park! The average wait time was probably 20 mins and the longest was 45 for the Scooby Doo ride. This day was great the Chinese Acrobats were top notch and the Superman coaster kicked ass. Dade rode a ton of stuff and we managed not to get to hot despite the high temperatures. By the time we got back to the hotel we barely had time for dip in the pool and then head to dinner. We we first got back I ducked in to a restraunt and made some reservations, later when we went back to the restraunt I found out I had gone to the wrong place... but it didn't seem to bother anyone else. I felt like a big dingus but there you go.
Sunday:
Up early enough for the 11a check out and then headed toward New Braunfels again... destination Natural Bridge Caverns. Cool everyone thought it was fun except all of the walking. Dade had a blast, he had never been in a cave and he was pretty stoked about the whole deal. After that we went over to Gruene and had lunch and strolled a few shops. then headed home.
Monday:
The AC in my house quit working.
Tuesday:
AC guy comes out and screws with it for a few hours and then decides he needs a part and now we are sitting with only being held up by the upstairs. Hopefully tonight it will get fixed.
