Sometimes you have to take a step back and have a look around you. Here I am fighting my weight and feeling sorry for myself because I can't seem to lose a &^#%$&* pound when I have a friends fighting for life all around me.
Angie's friend from college is battling cancer right now, she has 3 young children and runs a successful business and despite many efforts she keeps getting kicked back down. I encourage everyone to please send a prayer her way she needs it right now more than ever.

If that is not enough another friend of ours' husband was diagnosed with stomach cancer. He ended up having to have his stomach removed and now is fighting to gain weight! He was a slender guy to begin with but now has dropped to a very low weight and despite his best efforts cannot gain. Recently Angie went on trip with his wife and she mentioned that they hope he makes it 2 more years! They also have 3 young children... Just hearing this tears me up, here I am upset about something that ultimately is so trivial. Please as you read this pass a thought, prayer, nod, light a candle or speak to your god and ask for a little more time, health, peace, courage or anything for them, their spouses and their children and while you do so be thankful for you and yours.
