One thing I failed to mention on Tuesday... Monday after the drive home from D/FW I had a little time to kill in the afternoon and I had missed all my Dade and Daddy time on Friday so I took my son who was "to bored to move" out to Stallworth to fly a kite. We ran out about 200 feet of string and he held on as I launched it. These are the moments a dad lives for. He beamed brilliantly... I cannot wait to do it again. We ended running out about 400 feet of string, I think he didn't touch the ground for about an hour.

Just in case you need a primer... how to watch the war coverage is actually very insightful. I think the fact that we don't see the whole picture on any one channel is very telling. I saw on FoxNews that we had seen Saddam on a stretcher at least 12 hours before the other 2 biggies were reporting it. To me FoxNews is the best, of course MSNBC and CNN are both pretty left and that might be the problem I have with them.

I am addicted to the war coverage, but I cannot watch it with Dade in the room so I am constantly being sneaky. I asked him today if he wanted to play one of his video games and I would be up there in 10 minutes... when I went up he was laying there in his bed, I asked him what he was doing and he said "just waiting for you, I couldn't watch your tv show so I was just waiting." ok I'm a shit father... they get so smart so quick...scary!
